In 2018 teachers from six states made their voices heard. They
rallied, went on strike and marched to bring attention to lack of
funding, low pay, outdated education material and other unmet
student needs. It started in West Virginia then spread to other
states including North Carolina.
This episode's guest is Hallie Hulse Evans, a special
education teacher in rural North Carolina. Listen as Evans talks
about her life as a teacher and educates host Allison on what all
goes into her profession. She explains her career's expectations,
demands and why she decided to be a part of the Rally for Respect
in May 2018.
